The project brief: write and populate newly constructed site with content and integrate SEO
Following the successful website project for Storage Peterborough, the client commissioned a second website to support and generate enquiries for their archive and document management service. In this case the site was configured to target business visitors searching for archive storage services in Peterborough. The site was not to be supported with SEM and the team was tasked to make the site feature highly in the search engine natural search.
Internet Assets Ltd secured the domain for archivepeterborough.co.uk and employed a redesigned storage peterborough css file structure to ensure presentational continuity for the group. IA Ltd again wrote the content including the mis-spelt pages to gather the long tail search visitors that are now hard to attract with SEM. The site was written to support the core activities and search engine optimisation was always maintained at a high level to keep the site marketing cost to a minimum. The company built in the sitemapping and analytics for measurement.
The site was conceived in August 2009 and it was uploaded and functioning by the end of September 2009. The natural search presence is now dominant (November 2009) for the search term ‘archive storage in Peterborough’ and constant page revision is keeping the site fresh. The site is generating enquiries using a constant ‘get a quote’ option. The site was populated with quality images that help to lighten and enhance the subject matter. The client has commissioned a new flash video.
